About Casa Alba
A house built around a courtyard.
Casa Alba was a merchant family's home for a hundred and forty years. We kept the walls, the tiles and the habit of welcoming strangers.
Our principles
Nine rooms, one long table.
01
A house first
Guests are treated like family friends, not room numbers.
02
Made by neighbours
Furniture, linen and food come from within a kilometre.
03
Slow by design
No schedule, no loud music and plenty of shade.

Since 2011
Nine rooms, one long table.
We restored the house over three years with local craftspeople, using lime plaster, hand-cut zellige and cedar doors from the original lintels. Every morning breakfast is laid in the courtyard and every evening someone is in the kitchen.

- Nine rooms and a private hammam
- A kitchen that cooks only what the market sold

We arrived tired from the road and left rested enough to book again before we had even packed.
